How it works

The Email Firewall requires no hardware or software installation on your local network or devices. It works in conjunction with your existing in-house or hosted e-mail systems, domain name and naming standards, and works by rerouting e-mail through the Email Firewall. Rerouting is quickly and easily implemented by changing your company's domain mail exchange (MX) records to point to the Email Firewall. When the rerouted e-mail hits the Email Firewall, it is passed through four filters: the first antivirus engine, Ceryx's AntiSpam engine, and then through the second and third antivirus engines. This process allows only valid e-mail to be delivered to the network. Spam is quarantined; messages with viruses are eliminated.

The Email Firewall does not delay message delivery. The Email Firewall is situated in highly redundant data centers in Toronto and New York City. These data centers use intelligent routing technology to provide the most reliable, most available and fastest networks on the Internet for message delivery.
