Our History
CONNECT Computer was established in
1985 as a computer networking company. Back in those early days of
networking, we were installing DOS, LANtastic and
Novell - almost hard to remember those times when one
considers how far systems have come today! As it became a
"Windows World," CONNECT
partnered with Microsoft and later Citrix to design and
deploy robust network solutions to meet the changing needs of
our clients.
Prior to Y2K, CONNECT
entered the Data Center space. We built out our Data Center to
include application hosting, web and email hosting, and co-location
services. As an early adopter of "cloud computing," CONNECT's ASP
(Application Service Provider) practice, CONNECTAPPS.net, has become a
substantial component within our overall business.
Moving into the 21st Century, CONNECT expanded its Data Center
practice to include Disaster Recovery and Business
Continuation services, as well as Managed Services. CONNECT's Disaster Recovery
and Managed Services programs are among our fastest growing
offerings.
In 2004 CONNECT Computer became an
employee-owned company. With a leadership team so firmly
committed to investing in and expanding the business,
CONNECT has grown over 50%
since this transition. The company today has matured into a
full-service IT and Data Center practice specializing in Windows
networks, server-based computing, virtualization, application
delivery and hosting, disaster recovery and business continuation,
and managed services.
